Dr. Pulliam is a board certified pediatrician with a passion for helping moms breastfeed not only successfully but with confidence and joy. A pediatrician for over 17 years, he is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Over the years he has helped countless mothers and babies in his pediatric practice breastfeed successfully. After hearing from too many women who could not find help when they needed it, or got really bad advice even from doctors, he expanded his lactation practice beyond the walls of his practice and founded Eagle’s Landing Breastfeeding Center, a medical breastfeeding practice treating both babies and mothers.
Dr. Pulliam attended the Medical College of Georgia and received his pediatric training at the Nemours/duPont Hospital for Children/Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware. After an additional year as Chief Resident and several years teaching, doing pediatric research, and caring for hospitalized children in community and children’s hospitals, he returned to Georgia in 2001 and worked for several years in outpatient pediatrics before founding Covenant Care Pediatrics in his hometown. He founded Eagle’s Landing Breastfeeding Center in 2015. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and the AAP Section on Breastfeeding.
While he admits to having no personal experience breastfeeding, his wife did breastfeed all eight of their children. He says she is the real expert on breastfeeding and his hero.
